personal care + beauty routine

kitchen + meal planning essentials

Wall Calendar - The simplest, yet most essential meal planning tool! I use the plain, black & white 12" x 14.5" version and hang it inside our kitchen cabinet on a small 3M hook.

Pilot FriXion Erasable Pens (fine point) - I hook this right on my calendar for easy meal planning.

Produce Keepers and Prep Containers - A must-have to keep fruits and veggies fresh and make healthy snacks and dinners quick and easy! Quick disclaimer: These are not the exact ones I have, but look very similar with a drain tray, ventilation option and clear sides so you can see the produce.

Mason Jar Pour Spout Lids - Great leak-proof lids for homemade dressings, sauces, or even for venting produce when using Mason jars for storage.

Fridge Organizer - We love keeping this in the fridge as a quick reminder to pull meat from the freezer ahead of time and put it in here to thaw. After we use the meat, we wash the container and put it right back in the fridge - even if it's empty.

Shumaru Non-Toxic Butcher Block Cutting Board - It's huge and heavy and we love it! (We use this organic wood butter to keep it conditioned.)

Sunnecko 8" Chef's Knife - There are probably better knives out there, but if we keep this sharp, it works great for us! The coloring isn't strong like the photos - it's mostly just a silver knife, but it we still like it.

OXO Salad Spinner - Let me just say this... if you ever use lettuce, you NEED a salad spinner.

Vegetable Chopper - If you do a lot of chopping or dicing, this tool saves SO much time and is dishwasher-safe for easy clean up, too.

Google Keep - My favorite tool for creating grocery lists - works on desktops or as an app (you just need a free Gmail account).

Turntable Organizers/Lazy Susan - A game changer for organizing items you want to have easily accessible (supplements, oil/vinegar, etc.)

Adjustable Divider/Expandable Lid Rack - We use this to organize the lids for our food storage containers in a large kitchen drawer and we never have a chaotic mountain of containers anymore!

home care

Branch Basics - Use this link for $10 off your first order (Oxygen Boost is an absolute must - a dream cleaner all around for soap scum and hard to clean areas - it's awesome).

Wagner Spraytech Steam Cleaner - This little machine is great to clean without chemicals and get into all those nooks and crannies!

Rosey Assorted Microfiber Cloths Set - A nice variety of cleaning cloths with specific purposes that actually work well. I love that they also have a little tag on them so you can remember the purpose of each cloth. *Use this Thrive Market link to get 40% off your first Thrive Market order PLUS a free gift up to $60.

Rosey Cleaning Essentials - I am a big fan of the Rosey cleaners! I've tried other non-toxic brands and always seem to come back to these. I love using the basic cleaners for my Daily 7 home routine: the glass & mirror cleaner, tub & tile, and all-purpose. We also use their dish soap, liquid laundry detergent, and cloths - they all work great. One of my favorite brands that is also very affordable. *Use this Thrive Market link to get 40% off your first Thrive Market order PLUS a free gift up to $60.

Rosey Do-Anything Microfiber Cloths - If you don't want to deal with a specific cloth for each purpose, these are great to "do anything" when it comes to cleaning! *Use this Thrive Market link to get 40% off your first Thrive Market order PLUS a free gift up to $60.

Thrive Market - Use this link for 40% off your first order PLUS a free gift up to $60 (non-toxic home cleaners, laundry detergent, skin care, snacks, etc. delivered right to our home).

weekly planning + morning routine faves

Horacio Printing Dream Planner - Use code RENAE15 for 15% OFF (Renae's favorite is the black leather, lay flat, vertical layout)!

Pilot FriXion Erasable Pens (extra fine point) - The BEST pens to make changes or updates without the mess of scribbles.

Pilot FriXion Light Pastel Erasable Highlighters - These work great for weekly planning and color coding without it being too dark.

Great Adventure Bible

Bible in a Year Podcast with Fr. Mike Schmitz

DayStamp Habit Tracking App for iOS - An easy way to quickly track daily habits and goals.

financial tools

Ally Bank - We love their savings account option to use the bucket system!

Dave Ramsey's 7 Baby Step Program - An amazing program we used to get out of debt.

Rakuten - If you shop online, Rakuten is an easy way to earn cash back with almost no effort and creating an account is free! We have been using it for years and it is definitely worth using.

Renae's Annual Budget System - Available in The Routine Advantage Academy's Foundations Course!

Upside - I love using this app before I fill my car up with gas. You can quickly search your area and select a gas station that earns cash back. It's another nice way to earn a little pay out with almost no effort!

Fabletics - There is a lot of good stuff here, but my favorite item currently is their Principal Low Impact Bra - it is such a comfortable sports bra to wear day-to-day or for a workout and works especially great for a day of hiking. Plus, they have a ton of fun colors to choose from!

Habit Tracker App (iOS) - I've loved using this DayStamp Habit Tracker app to help me stay on top of my day-to-day goals. I added the widget to my side home screen so I have a visual reminder of the things I want to do and each night I check them off. I like being able to quickly look back at how consistent I was (or wasn't) so I can adjust if needed. (*TIP: Start small. It can quickly get overwhelming if you add too many habits too soon. It was much easier for me to start simple and build up from there.)

Hex Dumbbells - I love having a variety of this style of dumbbell. They are easy for me to grip, they don't roll around, and they just look clean. :)

Miniso X15 Pro Earbuds - Super comfortable over-the-ear earbuds that have good sound.

Nourish, Move, Love Workouts - I love Lindsey's workouts! She packs a lot into a short amount of time so you can get a really good and sweaty workout in, even if you have a busy day.

Smart Watch/Step Tracker - I've had the Amazfit GTS 2E for YEARS. I don't think they make my exact model any more, but both my husband and I have used this brand and we both had positive feedback on it.

Topo Women's Hiking Shoes - These work great for a long day of hiking! They have a wide toe box so your toes aren't getting slammed while climbing up and down the trail, a low back so it's not rubbing against your heel (it feels odd at first, but just give them a shot), and they dry super quick if they get wet. I highly recommend (my husband loves his, too).

Topo Women's Walking/Running Shoes - These are described as road running shoes, but I use them on my walking pad and treadmill all the time and I love them! They have the wide toe box that Topo's is known for and they are incredibly soft and squishy like you are walking on a cloud, but it still feels solid. I have had mine for awhile so the model of mine is the Phantom 3, but I'm sure the newer models are even better!

Treadmill - We have this NordicTrack full-size treadmill and have really enjoyed it! We don't have the subscription that allows you all sorts of "extras" so we just use the basic treadmill function, but the belt glides nicely, it feels solid to run on, and it's been a good addition to our home workout gear! (There isn't a phone/tablet/book holder, so we bought this little gadget and it was a good addition to it!)

Walk at Home with Leslie Sansone - I've been doing videos like this for years - they are quick and effective and are more low impact if you are looking for that style of workout!

Walking Pad - I've had a few walking pads over the years and this is by far my favorite so far! It's longer than the others, is very smooth and quiet, feels solid (and is pretty heavy duty), and has an auto-incline of 12%! I love using this with my standing desk... it's a perfect combo for me to stay active while doing computer work!

Weighted Vest - Adding this vest to my morning dog walks has been great. It's easy to slip on and off, isn't too bulky, and just adds a nice "extra workout" to my daily walk. I've been using the 16 pound vest, but maybe I'll upgrade to a heavier one later. My walk is uphill, so we will see how ambitious I get. Lol!
